disrupt the corruption w/ Claire Ogah

Claire Ogah of Overlaycouture describes herself as a cultural storyteller making wearable art and digital art. Self-taught, she’s previously been part of collective projects and commissioned by The NewBridge Project.

Supported by gobscure (whose residency at The NewBridge Project focuses on pluto presses choke points), Claire is hosting conversation, discussion, showing and sharing around some of her jewellery, fabric and digital art. her event focuses on how as a cultural misfit, a Nigerian Geordie, making bespoke work that is made with love and is proud to be loud ‘disrupts the corruption’.

Woman! An Exploration of Women in Ancient & Contemporary Culture

I will be taking part in an event by Teakisi exploring the role of women through out history and looking at how women’s roles in ancient cultures have influenced how women live today.
